If your horse falls down

first thing is to be sure to get your foot out of the stirrup! if the horse falls on your leg and your are in the stirrup your change of leg injury is high. get off on the side the horse is falling. you will probabley need to get off as it is hard for the horse to get up with you in saddle. they may but you don't want to count on it. get off. get off the side the horse is falling. if you get off the other side when your weight comes off it can right them and cause them to fall the other way which is on you. if you get off the way they are falling you should be away from the fall. step away!
