River Wind Farm
A brand new full service equestrian facility with a custom insulated 28 stall barn, a 100' x 200' indoor insulated arena for all weather riding, lush pastures and miles of groomed trails located just minutes from Raleigh, Durham and Wake Forest.
River Wind Farm is owned and operated by Robert and Cynthia Blackley, long time equestrians, breeders and competitors. Their vision was to create a top quality facility that would provide riders of all ages the ability to pursue their love of horses in any discipline they choose.
Carrie Everly, Barn Manager and third generation horse trainer, provides top quality care for horses and the farm. "We treat all the horses as if they were our own" has always been her motto. She lives on site to guarantee the safety of your animal from the evening "bed check" to the inspection of turn-out and pastures for safety

The Barn
Our brand new, insulated custom 28 stall barn boasts large wood stained stalls with over-thick stall mats and Nelson waterers.
The Arena
The 100' x 200' lighted indoor arena has skylights and fans for all-weather riding.
Tack Lockers
We have custom, wood stained tack lockers : 6' tall x 2 1/2' wide x 3' deep with saddle racks/blanket bars, bridle racks, and shelves with plenty of room to store all your needs.
Pastures
New state-of-the-art fencing in pastures and paddocks.
Trails
Over 5 miles of 12' wide groomed trails throughout the property and along the Tar River.
Additional Facilities:
Indoor wash stalls with hot and cold running water.
Kitchen with an eating area
Two bathrooms, one handicapped accessible/ the other with a shower.
Complimentary trailer parking.

Our all inclusive monthly boarding fee of $550 includes the following:
Feeding twice daily with grain and hay
Supplement feeding
Daily stall cleaning
Daily turn out/in
Blanketing
Our feeding program consists of high quality feed from Wilson Milling and all hay is grown on the premises.

River Wind "Show-Offs"
Our girls participated in the Johnson County Open Show in Smithfield on October 25th and took 22 ribbons!
Jackie Rigsbee and "Twister" received their first ever first place in an over fences class! Kelsi Warren and "Leeza", gained 5 ribbons in their first ever NC show and only the 3rd show ever for "Leeza." Victoria Claypool and "Classy" placed in every one of her nine classes! Way to go girls!
